Krater or Mitragyna speciosa is a tropical evergreen tree native to Southeast Asia. It has been used for centuries in Thailand, Cambodia, Malaysia, Indonesia, and Papua New Guinea. Consumption of its leaves at lower doses, may lead to increased alertness & physical energy. At higher doses it resembles more to a sedative.

There are several ways to consume Kratom as it comes in powders, capsules, dried leaves, vein extracts and liquid extracts. In general it tastes very bitter, so fruit juices or milkshakes are often used to ease consumption. Kratom is one of the psychoactive plants where you really need to stick to the proper dosages that also vary among strains.

The Borneo Red is known to produce more calming effects than the uplifting spectrum of Kratom. The pleasant effect can last up to 6 hours, and brings users into a naturally relaxed state.

Usage:

Take 1-1.5 grams for an energizer.

Take 3-5 grams for a tranquilizing effect.

High dosages may make one feel very drowsy.

Dosages towards 10 grams or higher are to be avoided. The sedative-euphoric-analgesic effects become too strong for most people. Furthermore at higher dosages they can create a form of dependancy, so be careful with this!

Kratom is not to be used in combination with: Pregnancy, breast-feeding, alcohol dependancy issues, epilepsy, mental disorders, liver medication, Modafinil (Provigil), Quetiapine (Seroquel), CNS depressants, Naltrexone (Vivitrol), Venlafaxine (Effexor).
